Route : Kashid (2 nights) - Chiplun (2) - Mahabaleshwar/Panchgani (2) (Ex-Mumbai / Ex-Pune)

Highlights : Coastal Maharashtra (Konkan) is known for its greenery, coastal cuisine (seafood and other preparations in a unique local style) and long stretch of uninhabited beaches. Mahabaleshwar (4000 ft) and Panchgani (2000-2500 ft) are twin Hill stations 20 kms apart and known for its Strawberry farms, Parsi (Zoroastrian) Heritage bungalows and views of the Sahyadri Hills and Koyna River Valley.

Expert Speak - Combination of these three, guests get a variety without traveling long distances. Appropriate stay selection would make this into a luxury getaway recommended for luxury and getaway seeker leisure travellers.

- The route takes one around Coastal roads, NH-17 legendary Coastal highway and Sahyadri Hills and therefore the route would interest a luxury seeker interested in a bit of driving around.

Recommended Itinerary (can be modified as per guest requirements / preferences)

  • Day 1 : Reach Alibaug (100 kms from Mumbai and 140 kms from Pune) and then proceed on the Coastal road to Kashid (30 kms from Alibuag)

  • Day 2: Sightseeing to Murud Janjira (20 kms), Murud Beach(18 kms), Nandgaon Ganesh temple (10 kms) and Birla Ganesh Temple (18 kms)

  • Day 3: Proceed to Chiplun (Via Roha) - 200 kms - 4 hours. Evening River Cruise.

  • Day 4 : Visit to Guhagar Beach and Parshuram Temple 

  • Day 5 : Leave for Mahabaleshwar (110 kms) /Panchgani (130 kms). Mahabaleshwar is known for various points from where you can view Sahyadri ranges, a lake for boating and a Shiva temple. Panchgani is known for its unique Tabletop Land formation and a few view points.

  • Day 6: Relax and Shopping 

  • Day 7: Leave for Pune (120 kms) or Mumbai (250 kms)

Seasonality - This circuit could be done all round the year. However considering it rains a lot in Mahabaleshwar in Monsoon (June-Sept), unless one likes lot of rains its not the best season then. 

Access : Mumbai is well connected with rest of India by Rail and Air and is one of the two major arrival points (alongwith Delhi) for those coming into India. Pune is connected with major cities in India by Air and is a major railhead with extensive connectivity with most parts of India.
