1. Munnar - Kodaikanal (Both 170-180 kms from Coimbatore) - This is a summer combination covering two premier destinations in South India which can be conveniently accessed from Madurai or even Coimbatore .

Kodaikanal (100-110 kms from Munnar) is a small hill station with the Lake being the centerpiece. Munnar has tea plantations and has been a more recent addition to the hill station list. Both have good resorts for a relaxing stay.  

Popular Extension

• Guests prefer to add Ooty to the list though its about 270 kms from both Munnar and Kodaikanal.

2. Valparai - Athirapally Waterfalls - This is a combination covering Off-beat plantation getaway and a renowned perennial waterfall both about 65 kms from each other.

Valparai (100-110 kms from Coimbatore) comprises plantation bungalows set in acres of tea plantations  surrounded by Annamalai reserve (excellent for bird watching and wildlife including Gaur (Indian Bison)). The drive to the area is exhilarating and excellent for off-beat travellers and nature lovers.

• Bird watching in Thattekkad can be combined which is about 30 kms on other side of the Cochin Airport.
