Ladakh - 16 - Highlights of Ladakh 

Route - Leh Arrival - Leh (1 night) - Alchi / Uleytopko (1 night) - Leh (1 night) - Pangong (1 night) - Leh (1 night) - Nubra Valley (1 night) - Leh (1 night) - Tsomorori (1 night) - Leh (1 night) - departure from Leh.  

Highlights : This itinerary combines all major areas to visit in Ladakh i.e. Alchi / Uleytopko (monasteries), Pangong and Tsomoriri Lakes (high altitude Lakes), Nubra Valley (high altitude desert) and Leh. Rafting is possible from Phey to Nyemo. Guests here experience high altitude drives and experience rugged arid landscape of Ladakh with the snow peak views around.

• Day 01: Arrive Leh Upon arrival at Leh Airport you will met by our representative and transfer to Hotel for Check in. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize. Evening Visit to Leh Market & Shanti Stupa. Overnight at Hotel.
  
  

• Day 02: Leh To Uleytokpo Post Breakfast we drive towards Leh - Kargil highway to Lamayuru enroute visiting Kali Mata Temple, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas, which was built by the Lamas of Leh in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. A drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up & further Driving through a picturesque landscape we reached the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar river 4 km before Nimmu village, and later we visit Likir gompa situated atop a windy cliff top overlooking the beautiful village of Likir. Basgo is certainly the most impressive of Ladakhi citadels despite its ruined state. Then we drive and cross the River Indus and reach Alchi, Ladakh's most loved monastery. After visiting above monasteries we drive to Uleytokpo at our Campsite for overnight stay.
  
  

• Day 03: Uleytokpo - Lamayuru - Leh Post breakfast start early morning we drive further to visit Lamayuru, Belongs to Dripung Kagyu (Red Hat) like Phyang. After visiting Lamayuru we drive back to Leh enroute visiting Rizong Gompa, known as the paradise for Meditation. After Ridzong visit we drive back to Leh and check in at our hotel for overnight stay.
   
  

• Day 04: Leh To Pangong Lake (06 Hours Approx.) After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake enroute visiting Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh & Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village and carryon further towards Pangong through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. 
  Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Evening at leisure and overnight stay at Pangong Resort or Camp Watermark on the shore of Lake. 
  
  

• Day 05: Pangong Lake To Leh (06 Hours Approx.) Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later we drive back to leh enroute visiting Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Drive further to Leh and check in at our hotel for Overnight.
   
  

• Day 06: leh to Nubra Valley (125 kms / aprx. 06 hrs) After an early breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley leads through Khardungla - Pass (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. 
  Arrive Sumur or Hunder by afternoon and rest of the day at leisure to explore beautiful village of Sumur & Hunder with a Visit to Diskit Monastery. Overnight stay at Camp.
  
  

• Day 07: Nubra Valley - Leh After your breakfast at the camp, visit the SAND DUNES to enjoy a camel safari (Optional). Later we drive to Leh by same route over Khardung La. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Overnight at hotel.
  
  

• Day 08: Leh - Chumathang - Tsomoriri (240 Kms) Post breakfast we check out from Hotel and Drive to Tsomoriri enroute stop at Chumathang, famous for medical hot spring and people visit to this place for medical bath. After a short halt drive to Tsomoriri, A beautiful mountain bounded expanse of water, around 240 Kms. from Leh in Rupsho Valley. The Lake is located at 14,000 ft. near a small village of Korzok. Upon arrival we check in at our camp for overnight stay.
  
  

• Day 09: Tsomoriri - Leh (Via Tanglangla) Post breakfast we check out from the Camp and proceed towards Tsokar Lake, After visiting the Tsokar Lake we drive towards Leh enroute Stoping at Tanglangla pass, the second highest motorable pass in the world at 5350 m. 
  
  

• Day 10: Depart Leh (Fly Out) Tour concludes. We thank you for your patronage and ensure a punctual transfer to Domestic Airport to catch the flight for your onward Destination

Access - Leh gets direct flights from Delhi and best mode to access Leh for an itinerary such as this.

Seasonality - Mid-may - Sept is best time to visit Ladakh.
