Notes and
Comments
* An additional
night at the end or at the beginning can be considered at Chandigarh.
Chandigarh is India's first planned city and now alongwith Mohali and
Panchkula a major IT and ITES hub. Tourists visit Rock Garden, Sohna Lake
etc.
* For those who'd not want to stay in a city in transit may opt for Nalagarh
/ Siswan Jungle Lodge / Timber
Trail Parwanoo instead of Chandigarh. Some of the other transit
accommodations are listed here.
* Guests looking for less touristy / crowded stays may prefer to stay around
Shimla destinations such as Chail / Naldehra / Kufri / Fagu etc instead of
Shimla town
* Choice between Palampur / Dharamsala and Mcleodgunj depends on weather (Mcleodgunj
is cooler in Summer being higher but Palampur / Dharamsala has a less
extreme Winter weather), Feel (Palampur has a plantation feel) and Space (Dharamsala
and Palampur has resort like stays where as most Mcloedgunj hotels are more
like city hotels).
