This is a Short-Break
Itinerary for visiting Manali, premier hill station in Manali. Manali is situated
at 6500 ft above sea level and is part of Kullu Valley with beas river flowing
right through Manali and Himalayan snow peak views all around even in Peak Summer
(April to Mid-July). Manali is also the base point for a adventure activities
in the Lahaul Spiti region and legendary Manali-Leh Route which opens in June.

Day 1 - Proceed from Delhi and Reach Bilaspur
(120 kms north of Chandigarh and 380 kms from Delhi - 8 hours). If Bilaspur is
too long then reach Chandigarh (260 kms). Relax for rest of the day. Day
2- Proceed for Manali Via Mandi (4 1/2 hours - 170 kms). Visit Local
Temples (Hadimba Temple, Vashisht hot water springs) in the Afternoon.
Day 3 - Proceed for Half day sightseeing for Rohtang (50 kms). Relax for the
rest of the evening. Day 4 - Visit Kullu region and Manikaran
hot springs during the day. Visit Tibetan market and shopping areas around the
Mall area. Day 5 - Proceed after breakfast and reach Bilaspur by evening.
Day 6 - Proceed to Chandigarh or Delhi (380 kms)

: Note:
Bhuntar near Kullu (50 kms from Manali) Gets Direct Flights from Delhi and therefore
recommended if the guests don't wish to undertake Road travel from Delhi (560
kms - oneway) |

- Chandigarh (Gets daily flights from New Delhi and Mumbai). Ambala
is a major railhead 30 kms South of Chandigarh. Bhuntar near Kullu (50 kms from
Manali) now gets direct flights from Delhi. |
