Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrival at Delhi. Proceed to Pangot  Arrival at Delhi and drive to Pangot (320 kms - 8 hours). Pangot is a hamlet at 15 kms Nainital. Walking into Pangot is like stepping into a remote Himalayan village. Pangot is a birdwatchers' paradise has more than 250 species of birds in and around recorded.

Day-2 Bird watching around Pangot Early morning and afternoon / evening walks through the terrace fields into thickly wooded oak forest.

Day-3 Pangot - Corbett. Evening Jeep safari to Sitabani Range Leave for Corbett (90 kms - 3 hours). Corbett National Park is a large area of dense evergreen forest with rivers flowing through and is renowned for having more than 400 species of birds and is a must visit for any bird watcher. Evening Jeep drive to Sitabani range.

Day-4 Morning and Evening walks for Bird watching in Corbett Take morning and afternoon walks in the nearby forested areas and riverbeds for Bird watching.

Day-5 Morning and Evening Safaris Morning safari to Bijrani range. Afternoon safari to Durgadevi range. Both ranges are known for their excellent bird watching.

Day-6 Depart for Delhi Drive back to Delhi (250 kms).

Corbett :

  • Wildlife and Bird Watching in Corbett - Corbett offers one of the best nature centric experiences in India and is renowned for its riverside beauty, Mahaseer / Catfish angling, walking, wildlife and Bird watching. Jeep safaris are on offer from 4 ranges (popular being Birjrani, Durgadevi, Jhirna). Corbett is home to the highest number of Bird species (resident as well as migratory) among all other parks and areas in India. Wildlife here comprises elusive Tiger, Leopard alongwith a range of well sighted deer species.

  • Walking in Corbett - Walking around reserve areas of corbett is considered an excellent experience for those interested in nature and walking. While walking in and around Core area is not allowed, There are number of established trails in buffer areas around Corbett. Some of them are those taken by Jim Corbett himself. Guests staying at Riverside Hotels in Corbett are able to do riverside walks.

Pangot :

  • Walking and Bird Watching at Pangot - Pangot is renowned for its wooded walks and Bird watching. The area is cut off and offers off-beat stays. More than 150 birds that have been recorded in the area.

Pangot - Pangot is small village 15 kilometers from Nainital. 150 bird species have been recorded at Pangot and surrounding areas. The area is excellent for walks, bird watching and off-beat getaways.

Corbett - Corbett experience is one of the best wildife expereinces in India alongwith Kanha, Nagarhole and Kaziranga. Corbett is good for bird watching and Wildlife.
