| Extreme
Weather / Remote Destinations - While staying in winter in snow clad resorts
is cold enough for almost everyone, there are still those who prefer to venture
into colder and even harsher climates. There are two destinations that can be
visited in winter but still its something only recommended for those who like
to go to the extreme. Leh, an autonomous region in Jammu and Kashmir state (Accessible
only by flight from Delhi) experiences temperatures of around minus 20 degrees
or less. Guests visit here specifically for skating on Glaciers / River,
Walk across frozen River and other such extreme weather adventures.
Other regions that are experiencing low temperatures and are remotely located
comprise Munsiyari (Uttaranchal) and Lachung and Lachen (Sikkim). Here the
experience of visiting remote locations in extreme climates surrounded with extremely
beautiful and almost untouched locales, is what excites travellers. Hotels
