Detailed Itinerary

Day-1 Arrive at Kathmandu Arrive at Kathmandu. Evening is free to explore Kathmandu.

Day-2 Kathmandu Sightseeing and Drive to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur Temple Proceed for the full-day sightseeing to Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa, After refreshment continue sightseeing to Swoyambhunath Stupa and Patan Durbar Square. Drive to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur Temple and overnight at Nagarkot.

Day-3 Drive to Pokhara via Manakamana Drive for Pokhara (200 kms / 6 hours) observing the scenic views on the national highway along the Trishuli River. En-route visit Manakamana temple by cable car. Upon arrival at Pokhara, evening walk around the tourist area of Lake Side and enjoy the view of western Himalayan ranges with Mt Fishtail

Day-4 Fly to Jomsom. Visit to Kali Gandaki, Jomsom Bazar and possible pony trek to Tilicho lake Fly to Jomsom. Visit to Kali Gandaki, Jomsom Bazar pony trek to Tilicho lake (optional extra) etc.

Day-5 Jomsom Visit - Marpha Village, Apple Farming etc. Half -day pony ride/ local jeep drive to Marpha Village. Visit apple farming, monasteries local handicraft shop etc.

Day-6 Fly Jomsom to Pokhara Wake up early morning and walk to airport for flight to Pokhara. After arrival, post lunch, leave for sightseeing of Pokhara valley later covering Davi's Fall, Tibetan Refugee Camp, Seti gorge & Fewa Lake with 1 hour boat ride on Lake Fewa. Further explore Pokhara in the evening or just enjoy the lakeside character.

Day-7 Drive to Lumbini Drive to Lumbini (200 kms / 7 hours drive). Rest of the day rest and relax

Day-8 Visit Lumbini monasteries and historical sites Proceed for Lumbini Park. Visit various monasteries, historical sites of Ashoka Pollar, maya Devi temple etc. Return to hotel and overnight.

Day-9 Drive to Chitwan. Post Lunch jungle activities / safari Drive to Chitwan National Park. (160 kms / 5 hours). After lunch proceed for jungle activities / safari.

Day-10 Chitwan Elephant Safaris, walks, Canoe ride and Tharu Tribal Dance Early morning Nature walk and Bird watching tour. Safari after breakfast on Elephant back. Guests may sight Deer, Rhinoceros, Wild boar, Leopard, Birds etc. After elephant back safari tour proceed for Dugout Canoe Ride along with Dungre / Rapti River to see 2 types of rare species of crocodile; the marsh mugger and the fish eating Gharial are found. Visit elephant breeding farm & drive back to the lodge. Late afternoon Village walk can be organized nearby Tharu village. Walk / drive back to the lodge/resort. Evening enjoy “Tharu Tribal Dance” presented by the local Tharu villagers.

Day-11 Return to Kathmandu Drive back to Kathmandu. Rest of the day is free to explore

Detailed Sightseeing

Kathmandu :

  • Pashupatimath Temple - Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu is one of the most significant Hindu temples of Shiva in the world. The temple is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. The temple is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams (Holy Abodes of Shiva).

  • Swayambhunath - Swayambhunath, is among the oldest religious sites in Nepal. The place is revered by both Buddhists and Hindus. The stupa here was renovated in 2010 and now a major tourist attraction.

  • Patan Darbar Square - Patan Durbar Square is one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of its attraction is The Ancient Royal Palace.

  • Boudhanath Stupa - The Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu is one of the largest in the world and the most significant Buddhist heritage monument in Kathmandu. There are about 50 Tibetan Gompas (Monasteries) around Boudhanath. Boudhanath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Bhaktapur Durbar Square - Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu and a UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a popular tourist attraction. The Golden gate is an example of the metal work of Medieval Nepal. Bhaktapur, in fact is the best site of the valley to visit. 55 Window Palace is a major attraction here.

  • Manakamana Temple - Manakamana is a Devi temple and a renowned Hindu Pilgrimage centre and a mid-way point enroute from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Cable car is installed now for the Darshan.

Lumbini :

  • Lumbini - Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the holiest places for Buddhist as Gautam Buddha was born here. The holy site of Lumbini has ruins of ancient monasteries, a sacred Bodhi tree, an ancient bathing pond, the Asokan pillar and the Mayadevi temple, where the precise place of birth of Buddha is located. From early morning to early evening, pilgrims from various countries perform chanting and meditation at the site.

Nagarkot :

  • Bhaktapur Durbar Square - Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu and a UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a popular tourist attraction. Pokhara :

  • Bindabasini Temple - Bindabasini Temple is located right in the Pokhara city center. Bindabasini is the popular pilgrimage site of Hindus

  • Phewa Lake - Phewa Lake, Phewa Tal or Fewa Lake is a freshwater lake in Pokhara and 2nd largest lake in Nepal. The lake is a popular tourist attraction of Pokhara where boating is conducted.

  • Davis Falls - Davis Fall (or Devi's Fall) is a waterfall at the end of Fehwa lake in Pokhara. Interesting aspect of the waterfall is that it comes out of a tunnel.

  • Seti George - Seti George is a narrow river that before entering Pokhara disappears as it does into a tunnel. This is the interesting feature that attracts visitors.

  • Manakamana Temple - Manakamana is a Devi temple and a renowned Hindu Pilgrimage centre and a mid-way point enroute from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Cable car is installed now for the Darshan.

Pokhara - Pokhara (4000 ft) is a scenic lakeside hill station. Lake in Pokhara and surrounding Himalayan views are the main attractions. Pokhara is also base for trekking around the area.

Jomsom - Jomsom (8300 ft) is important for its strategic position along the popular Around Annapurna (Circuit) Trek route and for making a visit to Muktidham Pilgrimage

Lumbini - Lumbini in Nepal is one of the four main pilgrimage sites based around the life of Gautama Buddha, the other three being Kushinagar, Bodh Gaya, and Sarnath and is best accessed via Gorakhpur in India as part of Buddhist circuit.

Chitwan - Chitwan is the Tiger Country where rare population of Royal Bengal Tiger can be sighted. However its a park that can be visited for the sheer park experience on part with Corbett, Kanha and Nagarhole in neighboring India.
