Hotel Gawaling is located in the small village of Changspa, a short distance from the town center of Leh, yet far enough away to enjoy a quiet and peaceful environment of lush green barley fields.

The hotel has 22 well-appointed rooms, and 2 VIP suites, all with modern facilities including private, spacious bathrooms with hot water, cable TV, telephone, and 24-hour power.  All the rooms have huge windows and private balconies, with panoramic views of beautiful mountain ranges, green fields, Stok Khangri, Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and Khardongla.

Feel free to relax in our 13,000 sq ft lawn garden, amidst flowers and apple trees.

* Thiksey Monastery - 17 kms South of Leh

July and August is considered the best months to visit Leh from the point of view of Festivals. Leh is famous for hosting the world renowned Ladakh Festival. Winters (Oct-March) are extremely cold here with temperatures touching minus 30 and recommended only for extreme weather adventure enthusiasts (Such as Ice Skating on frozen Zanskar River).

Access : Leh is accessible by Road from Manali and Srinagar. Both Routes are best done with one of two night stopovers. Best way to access Leh is by flight from Delhi. Air Deccan, Jet Airways and Indian has flights.
