Introduction and Geography - Shirdi is a major pilgrimage centre in
western India at 260 kms from Mumbai and 220 kms from Pune. Shirdi hotels on
account of their proximity to the Shirdi Saibaba Shrine, cannot serve liquor
or non-vegetarian meals. However for those where this is not a constraint
Shirdi offers good mix of luxury, hospitality and spirituality.
Availability
Scenario: Availability scenario is steady except long weekends and
holiday season. However as good options are limited, planning in advance for a weekend is a must.
Access:
Shirdi is accessible from Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra and
neighboring Gujarat by overnight Volvo Service. From Mumbai and Pune, by
Road access is most convenient even though there is a train service now
