Goa - Introduction and Geography - Goa is known to be the hub for conferencing and conventions in India due large number of 3-star to 5-star Hotels. Goa as its known is generally spread around in three main clusters. North Goa (Baga, Calangute, Candolim, Sinquerim), Panjim and South Goa (Colva, Benaulim, Varca, Cavalossem, Mobor). 

North Goa has mostly typical Goan type of hotels (Simple rooms, mid-sized (around 40 rooms), swimming pool and a beach access), Apartment Hotels (Large number of rooms like apartments) and few 3-star/4-star/5-star hotels.  North Goa is preferred by youngsters looking for a vibrant beach holiday.

Panjim has mostly business hotels category accommodation with a few heritage hotels. Just outside Panjim near Dona Paula and Vainguinim there are luxury resorts such as Cidade De Goa.

South Goa has Resorts that range from 3-star to 5-Sar deluxe category. Most of the renowned Goan 5-stars resorts are located in South Goa. South Goa has the best leisure, large conferencing and convention capabilities in Goa besides Cidade De Goa near Panjim.

Goa now is also an industrial centre in mining, ITES and a major port. 

Availability Scenario: Availability scenario is Extreme. Oct-March Goa being an International destination, goes full with overseas charter operators contracting most rooms a year in advance. This leaves no room for any corporate conferences to happen except Panjim area which don't get booked by charter operators. April - September the situation reverses when lots of conferences, incentives, leisure meets, get together etc. happen is considered a good season for corporate events.
