Ponmudi 
Located 18 kilometres away from Duke's Forest Lodge and at a height of 915 metres above sea level, is Ponmudi, a hill station famous for its natural beauty. 

Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary 
This sanctuary spread over 53 sq.km on the Western Ghats is on the way to Ponmudi. 

Agasthyarkoodarn (Agasthyar Park)
Situated at a height of 1890 metres above sea level, Agasthyarkoodam is the pride of Western Ghats. Teeming with wildlife, the forests abound in rare medicinal herbs and plants, brilliantly hued orchids and natural bonsai. 

Bonakkad 
The trip to Agasthyarkoodam orginates from Bonakkad which is famous for its tea plantations, orchid collections, good climate and Bono waterfalls.

Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary 
Located south of Peppara, this sanctuary stretches to the Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu. The diversity of the flora at Neyyar makes the sanctuary and ideal gene pool preserve. Apart from a teeming wildlife, there are nearly 109 rare plants in the region and medcinal plants that abound in the Agastiar Hills.
