Destination Information - UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli

 

15 kms from Vapi on the east is UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli (Daman lies on the west). 

UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli comprises Dadra, Silvassa, Umerkui, Khanvel and Dudhni. Despite being an industrial area, Silvassa today is being promoted as a tourist destination with a variety of "Things to do" such as:

  • Lion Safari at Vasona

  • Deer Park

  • Madhuban Dam

  • Cactus Garden and Tribal Museum at Silvassa

  • Garden and Boating at Dudhni

  • Dudhni Lake

  • Waterfalls (Seasonal)

Resorts here are also a preferred as choice for destination weddings for their accessibility and cost effectiveness.

Accommodation Options

  • Dadra - Closest to Vapi (15 kms) on the busy Vapi - Silvassa Road. Here there is a garden with boating (Popular with locals) and a mid-segment resort is situated right on the edge of the garden.

  • Silvassa - Home to many industries. Town centre has number of 2* type hotels. Just on the outskirts are getaway resorts (e.g. Damanganga Valley Resort) overlooking Damanganga River. 

  • Umerkui - Remote area a few kilometers off the Vapi - Silvassa road and where Treat resort is situated.

  • Khanvel - This is about 25 kms from Silvassa and closer to others when you arrive from Mumbai. This is set on a river and a deer park is situated right next to it. Khanvel resort is what made it famous. Now there are few more resorts there.

  • Dudhni - This is further 20 kms from Khanvel where a watersports complex is setup that allows boating etc
