Chonor
House is is centrally located in McLeod Ganj (Himachal
Pradesh, India), overlooking His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s temple / monastery. It was
built by Norbulingka Institute as part of its endeavour to preserve and promote
Tibetan Culture.
Each of the eleven well-appointed rooms at Chonor House
has been uniquely decorated according to a different Tibetan theme.
The
striking wall paintings created by Norbulingka artists are complimented by appliquéd
fabrics, hand-knotted carpets and carved and decorated wooden furniture.
