Chonor
House is is centrally located in McLeod Ganj (Himachal
Pradesh, India), overlooking His Holiness the Dalai
Lama’s temple. It was built by Norbulingka Institute as
part of its endeavour to preserve and promote Tibetan
Culture.
Each of the eleven well-appointed rooms at Chonor House has
been uniquely decorated according to a different Tibetan
theme.
The striking wall paintings created by Norbulingka artists
are complimented by appliquéd fabrics, hand-knotted carpets
and carved and decorated wooden furniture.
