Note - Above Information is based on on road travel done by Nivalink team in the year 2007. National Highways and State Highways are in a very good condition and therefore one can expect 50 kms/hr speed on most routes. National Highways and State Highways in neighboring Madhya Pradesh are still under complete re-construction and therefore you may encounter patches where the the roads are in a state of total disrepair and patches where you find very good roads. So if you are accessing Madhya Pradesh after visiting Chhattisgarh,  expect no more than 40 kms/hour on most national highways and major Roads and lesser on other Roads. Larger vehicle (Jeep, SUV) is recommended for Pachmarhi, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Khajuraho sectors.

Road Conditions may change (Deteriorate or Improve) and newer routes may come up based on road developments and improvements done by the local authorities.
