is a regular tourist itinerary for visiting Bandhavgarh (Tiger Sanctuary) and
Achanakmar, Heritage retreats of Kawardha with ancient temples of Bhoramdeo, Tribal
craft and heritage centres of Bastar and Kanker which are also known for their
waterfalls, greenery and wildlife. Suggested

Sequence of the activities may vary and depend on prevailing weather condition
and guest preferences) Day
1 : Arrive at Khajuraho and Proceed to Bandhavgarh (265 kms - 6 hours). Day
2: Morning and Evening Jeep Safaris. Day 3: Leave for Achanakmar-Amarkantak
Biosphere reserve. Enroute visit Amarkantak a hills station and a pilgrimage at
3500 ft. Reach Achanakmar by evening (About 250 kms from Bandhavgarh). The
Amarkantak Valley is known for its wildlife, tribal culture (Baiga), Rock Caves
with ancient Paintings and waterfalls. Day 4: Full day sightseeing around
the area or relax at Sal Valley Resort
Day 5: From Achanakmar to Kanker (320 kms - 7-8 hours)
Day 6: Full day sightseeing. Depending on area of interest (Wildlife, craft,
heritage, village experience etc.) Day 7: After breakfast leave for Jagdalpur.
Visit local craft centre. Day 8 : Visit local Waterfalls and wildlife reserves
around the area. Day 9: After morning visit to the local shops leave for Raipur
by afternoon (300 kms - 6 hours) Day 10: Leave for Delhi / Mumbai / Kolkata
