The
Jewel of the Lakshadweep, Bangaram Island Resort, a
CGH Earth Group Enterprise
(earlier "Casino Group"), presents a breathtaking spectacle
of sparkling coral reefs, turquoise blue lagoons, silvery beaches
and lush green coconut palms. All preserved in the state just as the
first discoverers would have found them.
The Lakshadweep or Laccadive Island, as they were
formerly called, are a string of little known island, lying
approximately 200 miles off the South West Coast of India.
Bangaram Island,
spread over 128 acres is uninhabited except for occasional visitors
from the nearest island of Agatti, where the airport is situated.
Accommodation
(30 huts) is kept limited to give acres of beach and privacy to every cottage.
The activities at Bangaram comprise Scuba Diving and Deep sea
fishing (Operational Oct-May).
Access:
Accessible from Agatti by Boat. Agatti is accessed by a flight from
Cochin / Bangalore (via Cochin) / Goa. Kingfisher Airlines and
Indian are two carriers having flights to Agatti.
