Udupi
: (Karnataka)- 406 kms West of Bangalore.
Udupi is where Madhwacharya, the profounder of Dwaitha philosophy, lived and taught 700 years ago. Madhwacharya established the eight Sanyasi Mutts at Udupi. It is one of the Mokshapuris highly revered in Karnataka and Kerala.

Murudeshwar : (Karnataka)- 455 kms North-West of Bangalore.
Murudeshwar, believed to have been sanctified by a piece of the Pranalinga of Mahabaleshwara thrown by Ravana, has some beautiful carvings and statues. Bounded by the shimmering sea and rolling hills, the place is a favorite picnic spot. The Murudeshwar temple attracts a lot of devotees and tourists.

Gokarna, described as a Shiva Center, is named for the ear-shaped confluence of two rivers, which marks Gokarna. This place is known both as a pilgrimage center and a beach. The blue sea and clean sands make Gokarna an ideal vacation spot by the sea.

Kodaikanal : (Tamil Nadu)- 485 kms South of Bangalore
Kodaikanal, is located 6854 ft above sea level, on the southern ridge of the Palani Hills in the Western Ghats. The hill town is renowned for its educational institutions. Bekal Fort : (Kerala)- 415 kms South of Bangalore.
Bekal Fort is a circular structure 130 ft. above sea level, spreads over a 35-acre headland that runs into the Arabian Sea. This fort is more than 300 years old and is built in the 1650's by Sivappa Naik of the Ikkeri dynasty. The Archaeological Survey of India controls the fort. Archeologists making it an interesting excavation site unearthed coins and other historical artifacts.
