| This
is a mixed Short-break Itinerary covering birding, wildlife, heritage and Hill
station. Dasada
is located at the edge of the geographically unique landform, the
Little Rann of Kutch which is a saline desert wilderness offering
exciting cross-desert safaris, superb wildlife viewing
opportunities and colourful villages along the
edge of the desert. The
Little Rann of kutch is a birdwatcher's paradise in winter and also home to a
rare Wild Ass population. Balaram
Palace is a Palace retreat with close proximity to Balaram Wildlife Sanctuary.
Mount Abu is a renowned Hill station in the area and also home to famous Dilwara
temples. |

Day 1 - Arrive at Ahmedabad Proceed to
Dasada (90 kms). Do Jeep Safari in the afternoon and chase a few wild asses.
Day 2 - Early Morning visit to nearby Swamps and spot birds.
Proceed to Balaram Palace via Step wells of Patan and Sun Temple of Modhera (World
Heritage Sites) - 200 kms. Day 3 - Relax during the day
and visit Ambaji Temple (50 kms) during the day OR Visit the nearby Balaram Wildlife
Sanctuary. Day 4 - Proceed to Mount Abu after breakfast (60 kms). Do
boating in Nakki lake and visit Dilwara Temple in the evening. Day 5 -
Visit Guru Shikhar, Brahmakumari Asram or do shopping locally or simply relax.
Day 6 - Take onward journey either from Abu Road station (22 kms) or Return
to Ahmedabad (250 kms) |
